Liam McAlinden has become the latest footballer to choose to play for the Republic Of Ireland. Both Liam’s parents come from the Republic Of Ireland. His grandfather came from the Six Counties enabling him to play for the North at youth level. The 19 year old striker who plays for Wolves is considered a bright young talent. He has been linked to moves to bigger clubs including Liverpool and Everton. Darron Gibson, Shane Duffy, Marc Wilson and Daniel Kearns also opted for the Republic Of Ireland after playing for Northern Ireland at youth level.
